Dear Parents and Guardians,
This week, our school will be re-launching a set of classroom expectations that were developed with input from both students and teachers. These expectations focus on simple behaviors that help create a respectful and productive learning environment for everyone.
The expectations include:
- Talking one at a timeÂ
- Using kind words and a kind voiceÂ
- Listening without interruptingÂ
- Keeping hands and bodies to ourselvesÂ
- Raising a hand to speak, participate, or shareÂ
- Staying in classroom seat during instructionÂ
- Respecting the re-directs from adults Â
Teachers and support staff will review these expectations with students and discuss what they look like in real classroom situations. Our goal is to help students build habits that support learning, respect, and positive interactions with others.
We appreciate your support as we work together to create a positive learning environment for all students. Please ask your child about these expectations and activities when they get home this evening.
Sincerely,
Claudine Grant
PAMS Principal
