Tour for Humanity – Today, grade 7 and 8 students covered many social studies topics while participating in the Tour for Humanity. This customized blue bus travels to schools throughout Canada, engaging students and teaching about historical and recent events. It encourages participants to raise their voices and act against racism, hate, injustice, and intolerance to build a more equitable society. Student Vote – For the second time this year, PAMS students participated in the CIVIX Canada Student Vote program today. This initiative introduces students to the democratic process as they cast their ballots for the actual candidates running in our local electoral district. The results from the student vote at PAMS will be announced tomorrow morning.
Provincial Assessments – Students in grade 6 began writing the Provincial Reading Assessment today. Watch your parent email for information from homeroom teachers about dates and times for future assessments.
Wabanaki Wednesday – Each Wednesday, students are encouraged to wear something that represents Indigenous culture or wear orange to honor the Wolastoqey culture.
School-Wide Breakfast – The free Spring breakfast will be this Thursday morning. We will be serving scrambled eggs, ham, pancakes, and fruit.
March/April Assembly – Our assembly is this Thursday at 11 a.m. We will be welcoming our future BEARS (grade 5 students from AES and Mah-Sos) to this assembly.
No School on Friday – There is no school for students on Friday as school staff will participate in professional learning.
