Eclipse – Western Valley Regional Service Commission Region 12 has purchased ECLIPSE Glasses for all students in our area so that the Eclipse can be viewed safely. The glasses will be distributed to the glasses to students before April 8. School will be dismissed 3 hours early on April 8th so students may arrive safely at their destination before the eclipse begins. There will be no after school activities on that day.

February β February is Black History Month, a time to when schools across Canada honor and remember the legacy of Black people in Canada and their communities. Students will be learning about Black history and culture in many subjects this month.
February is also Kindness month at PAMS. Students participated in a school wide activity on expectations of appropriate language on Monday. They talked about how appropriate language is positive and encouraging and made posters to display in the school.
Grade 8 transition – On Friday, grade 8 students will participate in a transition to high school activity. They will go to the civic center to watch the SVHS girls hockey team play in the Valhalla at 1:15pm. The students will be transported to and from the arena by bus. They will board the bus for home at PAMS at the regular time. Students will be supervised by PAMS teachers, and they will be seated together. If parents have concerns, please contact the school.
Valentineβs Dance β Students who have less than 2 unexcused absences (if parents called in, it is considered excused) and have not had an in school or out of school suspension are invited to the dance on Thursday from 6-7:30pm. The cost is $5 and there are special prizes for spot dances throughout the night. There will also be a canteen.
